Jul. 2nd, 2005 03:31 amThis comes from a conversation I had with a friend a while back. We were discussing nature and the like. I came across an interesting Idea or thought not really sure what it is. Anyway. I think that each person has a part of nature or the world that they know is dangerous but they like and take risks to be near. I know alot of people who love the outdoors, that know a fair bit about safety that still do stupid things. I find it odd that people who know the dangers of something still get close to it. What part of human nature allows some who knows that could die by skiing off of a 100 foot cliff still do it? or surf/swining in water where sharks have been seen. This cannot be stupidity or lack of knowledge. I really doubt that proving themsleves is the reason. I know I have done the samething on a smaller scale. any thoughts or comments?
